A western culture comparison in Ancient and Modern Greece

It's interesting how different Greeks protest when compared to their American counterparts. Greek protests tend to become violent due to the strong distrust of government as well as taking it upon themselves to seek justice. American protest tend to be more docile, since their end goal is usually to change the system within and in a peaceful manner (even though there are plenty of examples disproving that). Occupy Wall St. was a good example of how Americans do under pressure, in spite of being disorganized. Greek protests sometimes stay violent for weeks.
