Ancient Greek Food Revival Workshop

This video is a news story on a workshop hosted in Athens that focused on teaching recipes that would have been featured in the Ancient Greek diet. Like the modern Greeks, the Ancients ate olives, olive oil, parsley, oregano, fish, and bread, but unlike their contemporary counterparts, they rarely ate meats, and their meals were very fresh and simple. These types of workshops give people the opportunity to eat like their ancestors and reconnect with a more down to earth style of eating.

  1. This pretty neat! I like how the workshop allows people to use the same ingredients as their ancestors. Since everything revolved around food in Ancient Greece, this workshop creates a unique atmosphere for those who want to feel connected with past traditions.
